When I find myself doubting and questioning everything in my future, I am reminded of the simple truth: You follow Me, Cathie. When I feel completely out of control and begin to doubt that God has any control, the Holy Spirit fills my mind with the truth from Jeremiah 29:11 that God doesn't just have a plan for me...but a future too.
If we only follow Jesus for what He does for us, then we'll turn away as soon as we don't get what we want or expect. That's why we NEED to have a relationship with Jesus that is based on loving Him for WHO He is. Get in His Word and meditate there. Have fellowship with God. Trust Him. Listen to Him. Follow Him. He will direct your path. He does have a future for you and great plans for that future.
Remember, praying is not just talking and listening.. it's also waiting! So wait upon the Lord.
