Things I'm thankful for...

I've had a wonderful, fun filled day today and pray that you have as well. I heard today that a dear woman I know passed away and that really put this holiday into perspective for me. I'm so thankful for my health. I know this is a difficult time of year for a lot of people. I want you to be encouraged that God has everything in control and loves you and I more than anything. He wants to love on us in times like these. We should let Him.
I'm thankful for the weather. It was beautiful here today. A little brisk, but overall really nice. JD took Sara out for some early shopping. Can you believe stores were open today? So weird. I remember a time when the local gas station in town was the only place open on Thanksgiving, if you were lucky. How times have changed.
We ate out today and found ourselves leaving our waitress a very generous tip. I almost felt bad about leaving home to eat, however the food was ALMOST as good as momma's back home. I'm thankful for momma's cooking. Everyone voted that the food was amazing and what fun it was to get out of the house and not have to clean up, much less stuff ourselves the rest of the day.
I'm thankful for my husband. He is the most faith-filled person I know. His faith in God's abilities and plans NEVER waivers. He truly gives new meaning to the word LOVE. His uncompromising love is amazing to experience.
I'm thankful for my children. They have such a passion to please us. They have such respect for us and go out of their way doing things for us. They cleaned the entire house while we were gone and made signs and balloons for us when we returned. They were standing in a row when we drove up with all of their signs and things. They all ran to hug and kiss us.
When dad comes home from work everyday they all bolt out the door to hug and kiss him (me too). They love each other and take care of each other. They are such protectors of me and each other. God, I'm so blessed and thankful. Praise Be to the Newborn King! Hallelujah!

From My House to Yours,
Cathie
