Do you pray for yourself?

Hello Friends and Family,

There's a chill in the air here in the windy city, and I love it. My boo is off at work and the kids are playing with each other nicely. I just poured my first cup of hot coffee (two splenda and heavy cream). My sweet little Phoebe muffin is in her crib fighting her nap. Why doesn't she just give in? I sure would if I could :)
JD and I have been praying and seeking God on a few matters here lately. We've been praying for our ministry partners (you). We've been working on our ministry web site and it is looking really good. I'll let you know when we've finished it. We've been searching out God's perfect will for our lives. We'd like to ask you to say a little prayer for us today and in the coming days.
Asking others to pray for me has always been a bit tricky for me. I've always believed that you better be praying for yourself, because there are very few people out there who REALLY will pray for you. How many times have we said to someone, " I'll be praying for you" and then never really do it? So, to keep it safe, I pray for myself. When people ask me to pray for them or a situation, I usually ask them if they have prayed about it first! Ever wonder how God feels when half of the day has gone by and we haven't even spoken to Him? Ever wonder if God cries? Ever wonder if God misses us when we're away? I think He does. My little Phoebe's face just lights up when I come home. I tend to think that God's face looks exactly the same when I speak to Him. I try to pray without ceasing and it's not as easy as it sounds. You should try it. Try to be in a constant state of prayer and awareness all day. You will be amazed at how many distractions the devil will send your way in a days time.
Let's pray together: Lord Jesus, I love you so much! I ask You to forgive me of the sins in my life. I ask that You reveal to me today the things in my life that don't add up to Your Word. Your Word says that if I confess my sins, You are faithful and just to forgive me of my sins and cleanse me. I receive Your cleansing today. You are my hero and I need You to demonstrate Your power in my life. I have challenges ahead of me and decisions to make. I do not want to be outside of Your perfect will. Give me discernment in every area of my life. Be Lord of my life today and every day. I love you. In Jesus name, Amen
