Day 8: Diligence

Day 8 brings us to Diligence versus Slothfulness: Col. 3:23 Visualize each task as a special assignment from the Lord and using all my energies to accomplish it.
We must diligently feed on God's Word. Sometimes the best thing we can do is to starve our flesh and feed our spirit through a fast. Fasting helps you separate what you want from what you need. It causes you to focus on those things that really matter. To be diligent is to be persistent. It means to work hard in doing something and refusing to stop. Diligence is when you separate yourself from the table and feed on the Word. God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6), which means He has already laid up rewards for you in heaven. On your 8th day of fasting, remember to continue to meditate and listen, rest and relax as much as possible, and keep resisting hunger by focusing on the Lord. Do NOT grow weary, stay the course; finish the race. An incredible reward awaits you on the other side. When we develop a hunger for the deeper things of God, He will fill us. (Matt. 5:6)
Tonight we are having a Healing Service at my church. I can't wait to report back to you tomorrow. Signs and Wonders on Day 8... here they come.. Please be in prayer for us tonight at 6:30 p.m. if you can't join us..
From My House to Yours,
Blessings,
Cathie

Diligence is so important. The difference between blessing from whatever you set your hands to do and having poverty due to slack hands. Being diligent in the spiritual things makes the difference in your relationship with God. I especially enjoy the moments that the you can sense you are in the presence of God and the annointing is so strong that tears come to your eyes and everything that bothers you is gone, joy floods you entire being. Bliss. I love it. During this time listening is important and acting on what you hear can change you life. Sometimes what we hear isn't easy to hear, but is necessary in order to correct things in our life so we can move forward in him. Change me Lord by your word and by your Spirit.
