Day 31: Broken Focus

Day 31: Let me give a shout out to my baby girl who turned 2 today.. The terrific twos. Happy Birthday Phoebe Dawn. Praise God.
Now... down to the business at hand. Ready? Do you remember I told you the other day that the only reason men fail is broken focus? When satan wants to distract you, he brings someone into your life to break your attention off of God. So the Father, in His incredible wisdom, knows how to remove those distractions and cause us to behold Him AGAIN!
Seasons of prayer and fasting: The purpose of fasting is not to destroy your health. It is to deprive yourself of something you love - to move the hand of God to provide something you do not have. It is sometimes better to withdraw from the company of friends who are enjoying a meal around a restaurant table - to focus instead on a private time of prayer with Him. Jesus embraced prayer and fasting as effective weapons. Demon powers always succumb to these weapons. I am so thankful that the body of Christ is awakening again and becoming aware of the remarkable influence we can have when we pray and set aside time to fast.
*God commanded us to fast
*Fasting is a force in the spirit world
*You should fast during important decision making and between major events of your life. Jesus did.
*You should fast to affect the decision of God in the crises of those you love.
*You should fast habitually
*You should fast often, regardless of outward conditions.
*Your fasting will produce humility
Fast to influence three areas of your life: Direction, Family, Finances
