I appreciate that my wife asked me to write something for her blog. She helped direct me towards something that's been getting under my skin with the Christian radio that I've listened to lately. They keep talking about how bad everything is and it's just gonna get worse, and I've had enough! The Amplified Bible Translation of Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome." God cares about our future and I'm keeping my faith in Him!
Be encouraged, God is faithful and you can trust in Him. It doesn't matter what your understanding of our nation's economy or the world’s affairs are. Be a tither and giver of offerings, know how to partake in God's economy, be obedient to Him, let Him rule in all the areas of your life, and He will guide you to that place called best that He has set aside for you.
You can count on God and live by His Word. Here's one last passage of Scripture from the Amplified Bible to keep you until next time: Proverbs 3:1-6, "MY SON, forget not my law or teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments; For length of days and years of a life [worth living] and tranquility [inward and outward and continuing through old age till death], these shall they add to you. Let not mercy and kindness [shutting out all hatred and selfishness] and truth [shutting out all deliberate hypocrisy or falsehood] forsake you; bind them about your neck, write them upon the tablet of your heart. So shall you find favor, good understanding, and high esteem in the sight [or judgment] of God and man. Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths."
Be Blessed,
Pastor James

Amen.......seems like most people have forgotten that Moses was in his own economy failure and I think that Manna from Heaven was sent down....same thing different time...and really if we think about it we have no reason to blame God for the toys we decide to not live without....
